- Open any directory
- Sort files in desired order (e.g. by name)
- Close it while holding Ctrl key

Windows Explorer Default Sort Order Changed To Date Modified
Suddenly all my files in Save as.../Browse... dialogs started to be sorting by date modified and not alphabetically. Now I know that the default order gets changed when you close any Explorer window with Ctrl key holded. The new order is the order applied to the folder being closed. To fix this:
